CLEARCRAWL / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

What information Clearcrawl handles, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Who we are

Clearcrawl is operated as a sole trader in England and Wales. For privacy questions or requests, use our Contact form and mark your message “Privacy”.

Information we handle

  • Account information: the details associated with your sign-in and account settings.
  • Website and crawl information: the domains and URLs you submit, crawl schedules, page details and technical findings, and the reports created from them.
  • Billing information: Stripe processes payment details. Clearcrawl receives a customer reference, subscription and plan details, and billing status.
  • Messages: the contact details and message you send through our Contact form.
  • Optional public-site tags: if you accept them, Google Tag Manager may load configured analytics or marketing tags. The information collected depends on the tags in use.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, crawls and reports; manage subscriptions; answer support requests; maintain and protect the service; and meet legal obligations. Optional analytics or marketing tags are loaded only after you accept them.

Where UK data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on our contract with you to provide the service, legitimate interests to maintain and protect it, legal obligations for required records, and your consent for optional tags.

Service providers

  • Clerk provides account sign-in.
  • Stripe processes subscription payments and billing.
  • Resend delivers contact and service emails.
  • Replit hosts the service and its database.
  • Google Tag Manager can load optional public-site tags after consent.

These providers process information to support Clearcrawl. We do not sell personal information. Providers may process information outside the UK; where data-transfer rules apply, the safeguards required by law apply.

Retention and your choices

Clearcrawl keeps up to three detailed completed crawls per site. Older crawl history may remain as compact report snapshots. We keep account and billing records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting obligations.

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, you may also be able to restrict or object to certain processing, or request a copy. Use the Contact form for a privacy request. You can change optional-tag consent through Cookie settings in the footer; your choice is stored in this browser for up to six months.

You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Age and policy changes

Clearcrawl accounts are for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly provide accounts to anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with account information, contact us so we can review it.

We will post the current policy on this page and update the date above when it changes.
